Hold on to your 3D glasses, 'cause here's another first!
THRILLS FOR YOU (B&W, 1939 - short)
Made for the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) for the Golden Gate International Exhibition in San Francisco which ran from 19FEB39 to 29OCT39, and 25MAY40 to 29SEP40.
Assumed to be lost, an original, exhibition 16MM print was just located by Jeff Joseph, who quickly called D3 in to provide its 20/20 PROCESS TM to restore the 3D to original (better than) splendor.
As it was shown in dual, 16MM format (polarized), the image quality isn't stellar. But, it is original.
After creating 20/20 corrected masters, D3 then made a Natural Vision anaglyph for convenient viewing. And below are some frames.
But it is planned to have this title, in dual polarized glory, at the WORLD 3D FILM EXPO 2 in Hollywood this coming September (http://www.3dfilmfest.com).
The film opens with a 2-D explaination of how to use the Polaroid viewer.

About 1 minute in and we fade up to 3D.

Interior shots, especially close like this, were a problem, thus the bands on the sides.

DEEEEEEP!

All the interior shots were made while the train was rolling (look out the windows).

Last shot, as the train seems to collide with the 3D camera.

These are the glasses, and below, the pamphlet given out.
